Today we honor St. Theresa, "The Little Flower."

Theresa, the Little Flower, was  born in southern France
in 1873. dying there in 1897. at twenty-four. At sixteen
she entered the Carmelite convent where her sister Marie
 was mother superior.

She had wanted an active spiritual life as a foreign
missionary. but her failing health confined her to
finding what she called her Little Way.

Her Sister Marie commanded hen Teresa to write
her autobiography. Her resulted "Diary  of a Soul"
was welcomed as the finest spiritual guide of the
ineteenth Century.
