Our first reading today is from Chapter Sixteen of the Acts of the Apostles, and a surprising thing come along with verse eleven. eighteen.
The Acts of the Apostles was written by St Luke, and up to verse eleven of Chapter Sixteen, Luke wrote about the travels of Paul and his other companions, ending with telling us that they arrived at Troas, the ancient Troy.
Then suddenly, Luke himself entered his narrative by writing, "We set sail from Troas, making a straight run for Samothrace.
