When those trees have come
down, and when those too tight blouses have been exchanged, and when we feel our
sweet Christmas spirit fading away, we wonder if there is any part of Christmas
we can hang on to.
The "Beloved Apostle,"
John, has suggested a series of attitudes by which we keep Christmas alive in
our midst. We can do it if our fathers really know him who was with us from the
beginning.
We can do it if our young men
are strong, and if the words of God remain in them, and if they continuously
conquer the Evil One.
We can do it if our widows never
leave the temple.
