Today we celebrate the birth of our mother Mary.

Friday  9/8/17

Today we celebrate the birth of Mary, even though we have no real evidence as to who her parents were, or where or when she was born.

But everyone deserves a birthday, especially one who is as dear to us as our mother Mary.

Once the mother of a seven-year-old girl told me that her Patty asked her where babies came from. My friend Jane decided on telling Patty the truth. And she did. She described how babies are conceived, how they are developed from embryos.

At that, young Patty got quite angry. She said, "No one could believe it happens that way!"

So, in celebrating the birth of Mary, we should also celebrate the miraculous way God devised for each of us to come out from the womb with our distinct personalities ready to bloom.
