Today we honor the Apostle Thomas, who was much more than a doubting Thomas.

Today we honor the Apostle Thomas. And we feel that with his having been stuck with the nickname of “Doubting Thomas,” the memory of him needs a little honoring.

Perhaps he does not need any support from us. He showed him self to be brave when he urged the others to join him in accompanying Jesus back to Bethel, He said, “Come, let us go and died with him.”

In later years he went farther than the other Apostles in spreading the Word. He founded the Church in Kerala India, a place from which many fine priests have come to Jacksonville.
