If your life style is opposed to the Bible's word, you cannot understand the Bible,

In the Aleluia Antiphon we read, “If you remain in my word, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The opposite of that would be, “If you do not remain in the Lord’s word, you will not know the truth.”

In other words, you cannot understand th Scriptures if you have adopted a life style that is contrary to the teachings of the Bible.

We see that in verse 28 of Chapter One of Paul’s “Letter to the Romans,” “Since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God handed them over to their undiscerning minds.”
