This week’s passages from the ‘Letter to the Hebrews” are
outstanding in the way they emphasize the true humanity of Jesus. Sure, he was the unique Son of God,
but he was as human as you and I are.
Today’s passage from Chapter Four states, “We do not have a high priest who is u able
to sympathize with us, but one who has similarly been tested in every way that
we are.”
Then, in Chapter Five of the “Letter to the Hebrews” we
read, “Son though he was, he learned
obedience from what he suffered; and when he was made perfect he became the
source of salvation for all.”
