You can sense someone's need for attention when you recall how you felt in being passed over.

”Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.” This is the law and th prophets.

It’s hard to know where to start if you want to make it your practice of living according to that advice. You might find it easier to make it a practice of not doing to others what you would not want them doing to you.

I get started on that program by remembering occasions when I was hurt, and from that going on to resolving not to do that to another.

When I want to reveal something unfavorable about someone, I stop and consider how I would feel about it if someone let my hidden faults spread around.

I sense someone’s need for attention when I find myself being passed over.
