In our readings today, first Paul, and then Jesus, give a
personal account of how he had fulfilled the mission for which God placed him
in this world.
We could take their stellar self-assessments as challenges
to us. Up to now, how have we fulfilled our duties to our God, our families?
Paul could confidently say he has finished the race, he has
fought a good fight. Can we say the same?
Maybe, before it is too late, we should undertake some good
works that would add luster to our spiritual resume.

No matter how well written, your resume won't get a thorough reading the first time through. Generally a resume gets scanned for 25 seconds.
