Jesus said, “No one knows who the Son is except the Father,
and who the Father is except the Son.”
We are familiar with the second part of that. We all
remember Jesus saying, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me.”
But the first part of Our Lord’s statement gives us a fresh
idea. It says, “No one knows who the Son is except the Father.” That is telling
us that if we long to have a more intimate relationship with the Son, we need
the Father’s help; to get there.
When you are praying to Jesus do you ever want the feeling
that your call is going through? Do you long for the assurance that he is there
for you?
